A switchboard as defined in the National Electrical Code is a large single panel, frame, or assembly of panels on which are mounted, on the face or back or both switches, overcurrent and other protective devices, buses, and, usually, instruments.
Switchboards are generally accessible from the rear as well as from the front and are not intended to be installed in cabinets.

- до 1000 В,

Шкала номинальных напряжений ограничена сравнительно небольшим числом стандартных значений, благодаря чему изготавливается небольшое число типоразмеров машин и оборудования, а электросети выполняются более экономичными. В установках трехфазного тока номинальным напряжением принято считать напряжение между фазами (междуфазовое напряжение). Согласно ГОСТ 29322—92 установлена следующая шкала номинальных напряжений:
для электросетей переменного тока частотой 50 Гц междуфазовое напряжение должно быть: 12, 24, 36, 42, 127, 220, 380 В; 3, 6, 10, 20, 35, 110, 150, 220, 330, 500, 750 и 1150 кВ;
для электросетей постоянного тока: 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 110, 220, 440, 660, 825, 3000 В и выше.-
по способу присоединения к электросети ПС разделяются на:
- тупиковые (блочные),
- ответвительные (блочные),
- проходные (транзитные)
- узловые.
Тупиковые ПС получают питание по одной или двум тупиковым ВЛ.
Ответвительные ПС присоединяются ответвлением к одной или двум проходящим ВЛ с односторонним или двухсторонним питанием.
Проходные ПС включаются в рассечку одной или двух проходящих ВЛ с односторонним или двухсторонним питанием.
Узловые ПС кроме питающих имеют отходящие радиальные или транзитные ВЛ.-
по способу управления ПС могут быть:
- только с телесигнализацией,
- телеуправляемыми с телесигнализацией,
- с телесигнализацией и управлением с общеподстанционного пункта управления (ОПУ).
Подстанции оперативно обслуживаются постоянным дежурным персоналом на щите управления, дежурными на дому или оперативно-выездными бригадами (ОВБ). Ремонт ПС осуществляется специализированными выездными бригадами централизованного ремонта или местным персоналом подстанции.
В РУ напряжением до 1000 В провода, шины, аппараты, приборы и конструкции выбирают как по нормальным условиям работы (напряжению и току), так и по термическим и динамическим воздействиям токов коротких замыканий (КЗ) или предельно допустимой отключаемой мощности.

Различают АСУ объектами (технологическими процессами - АСУТП, предприятием - АСУП, отраслью - ОАСУ) и функциональными автоматизированными системами, например, проектирования, расчетов, материально-технического и др. обеспечения.

АСУ
Система управления, в которой применяются современные автоматические средства обработки данных и экономико-математические методы для решения основных задач управления производственно-хозяйственной деятельностью. Это человеко-машинная система: в ней ряд операций и действий передается для исполнения машинам и другим устройствам (особенно это относится к так называемым рутинным, повторяющимся, стандартным операциям расчетов), но главное решение всегда остается за человеком. Этим АСУ отличаются от автоматических систем, т.е. таких технических устройств, которые действуют самостоятельно, по установленной для них программе, без вмешательства человека. АСУ подразделяются прежде всего на два класса: автоматизированные системы организационного управления и автоматизированные системы управления технологическими процессами (последние часто бывают автоматическими, первые ими принципиально быть не могут). Традиционно термин АСУ закрепился за первым из названных классов. Отличие АСУ от обычной, неавтоматизированной, но также использующей ЭВМ, системы управления показано на рис. А.1, а, б. Стрелками обозначены потоки информации. В первом случае компьютер используется для решения отдельных задач управления, например для производства плановых расчетов, результаты которых рассматриваются органом управления и либо принимаются, либо отвергаются. При этом необходимые данные собираются специально для решения каждой задачи и вводятся в компьютер, а потом за ненадобностью уничтожаются. Во втором случае существенная часть информации от объекта управления собирается непосредственно вычислительным центром, в том числе по каналам связи. При этом нет необходимости каждый раз вводить в компьютер все данные: часть из них (цены, нормативы и т. п.) хранится в ее запоминающем устройстве. Из вычислительного центра выработанные задания поступают, с одной стороны, в орган управления, а с другой (обычно через контрольное звено) — к объекту управления. В свою очередь информация, поступающая от объекта управления, влияет на принимаемые решения, т.е. здесь используется кибернетический принцип обратной связи. Это — АСУ. Принято рассматривать каждую АСУ одновременно в двух аспектах: с точки зрения ее функций — того, что и как она делает, и с точки зрения ее схемы, т.е. с помощью каких средств и методов эти функции реализуются. Соответственно АСУ подразделяют на две группы подсистем — функциональные и обеспечивающие. Создание АСУ на действующем экономическом объекте (в фирме, на предприятии, в банке и т.д.) — не разовое мероприятие, а длительный процесс. Отдельные подсистемы АСУ проектируются и вводятся в действие последовательными очередями, в состав функций включаются также все новые и новые задачи; при этом АСУ органически «вписывается» в систему управления. Обычно первые очереди АСУ ограничиваются решением чисто информационных задач. В дальнейшем их функции усложняются, включая использование оптимизационных расчетов, элементов оптимального управления. Степень участия АСУ в процессах управления может быть весьма различной, вплоть до самостоятельной выдачи компьютером, на основе получаемых им данных, оперативных управляющих «команд». Поскольку внедрение АСУ требует приспособления документации для машинной обработки, создаются унифицированные системы документации, а также классификаторы технико-экономической информации и т.д. Экономическая эффективность АСУ определяется прежде всего ростом эффективности самого производства в результате лучшей загрузки оборудования, повышения ритмичности, сокращения незавершенного производства и других материальных запасов, повышения качества продукции. Одна из важнейших составляющих интегрированного комплекса систем и средств физической защиты. Системой контроля доступа называется совокупность программно-аппаратных средств и организационных мероприятий, с помощью которых решается задача контроля и управления посещением отдельных помещений, а также оперативный контроль персонала и времени его нахождения на территории объекта.
Интегрированная СКД реализуется, в общем случае, гармоничным взаимодействием интеллектуальных уровней управления:
(1) уровень систем - графический пользовательский интерфейс и сервер базы данных;
(2) уровень подсистем - главный контроллер (мультиплексор);
(3) уровень локальных процессоров - локальные контроллеры, охранные панели.
Базовыми компонентами системы контроля доступа, управляемы тремя уровнями управления, являются: считыватели и идентификаторы, исполнительные устройства контроля доступа (турникеты, барьеры, замки, шлюзовые кабины, шлагбаумы, и т.п.), специализированные обнаружители (обнаружители металлов, обнаружители ядерных материалов, обнаружители взрывчатых веществ).

SUBJECT AREA: Ports and shipping[br]b. 2 January 1864 Glasgow, Scotlandd. 27 September 1954 Wimbledon, London, England[br]Scottish shipowner and shipbuilder.[br]James Caird was educated at Glasgow Academy. While the connections are difficult to unravel, it is clear he was related to the Cairds of Greenock, whose shipyard on the Clyde built countless liners for the P \& O Company, and to the Caird family who were munificent benefactors of Dundee and the Church of Scotland.In 1878 Caird joined a firm of East India Merchants in Glasgow, but later went to London. In 1890 he entered the service of Turnbull, Martin \& Co., managers of the Scottish Shire Line of Steamers; he quickly rose to become Manager, and by 1903 he was the sole partner and owner. In this role his business skill became apparent, as he pioneered (along with the Houlder and Federal Lines) refrigerated shipping connections between the United Kingdom and Australia and New Zealand. In 1917 he sold his shipping interests to Messrs Cayzer Irvine, managers of the Clan Line.During the First World War, Caird set up a new shipyard on the River Wye at Chepstow in Wales. Registered in April 1916, the Standard Shipbuilding and Engineering Company took over an existing shipbuilder in an area not threatened by enemy attacks. The purpose of the yard was rapid building of standardized merchant ships during a period when heavy losses were being sustained because of German U-boat attacks. Caird was appointed Chairman, a post he held until the yard came under full government control later in the war. The shipyard did not meet the high expectations of the time, but it did pioneer standard shipbuilding which was later successful in the USA, the UK and Japan.Caird's greatest work may have been the service he gave to the councils which helped form the National Maritime Museum at Greenwich. He used all his endeavours to ensure the successful launch of the world's greatest maritime museum; he persuaded friends to donate, the Government to transfer artefacts and records, and he gave of his wealth to purchase works of art for the nation.
